About the EPC4SES project

.

EPC4SES aims to make usable the building data generated by the energy performance certificate software. In some Austrian regions and in Germany, a standardized XML format is used for this purpose. However, this is not a prerequisite; it would also be possible to make the data available for further use via JSON formats. The use cases include processing steps in which the data is prepared accordingly in order to meet data protection requirements and also including aggregation not to allow deanonymization. The use cases tie in with various points. For example, public authorities have access to register databases, but network operators must obtain data from building owners via agreements. The availability of the data also plays an important role, i.e. authorities or providers of energy performance certificates must create the conditions that building owners always have the building data from the energy performance certificate easily available electronically. The data model shall account for the multitude of use cases.

Please Rank the Use Cases

Please assign 1 to your favoured use case, to the least favoured 6.

You will be give a list of actions to enable the uses case, and may amend with your tips

Many thanks in advance.

The quality of the individual energy consulting of property owners shall be made more efficient and be based on quality assessed building data used in Energy Performance Certificate EPC.
Actors: People, Systems, Applications, Databases, the Power System, and Other Stakeholders and their role:
Property Owner - commissions energy consulting or is deemed to have energy consulting
Energy consulting entity - either private (government controlled) or non for profit
The refurbishing industry is provided with accurate demand market data from enhanced Energy Performance Certificate EPC registers, so it can develop cost-efficient products.
The industry gets access to aggregated data, which originate from quality assured enhanced EPC register data.
The charged bodies or authorities compile aggregated and/or anonymized XML data from EPC issuing
The energy policy is based on empirical data, employing data science on enhanced Energy Performance Certificate EPC register data. Funding is correlated with changes in energy demand. Funding triggers new EPC.
Researchers, the energy agencies, or officers from responsible public entities may correlate renovation rates with funding schemes
The bodies or authorities in charge allow access to anonymized EPC based XML-data (stored in database fields)
Energy system designers contract building owners to get accurate Energy Performance Certificate EPC based XML-data for planning smart energy systems from conducting asset-based EPC.
Energy system designer use the geo-located digital twins to simulate extension of networks or planned networks.
Building owners commit to deliver data for the digital twin originating from the EPC-process in return to a free EPC.
The digital twin might be offered by third parties, processing EPC data to be used in a building simulation tool.
While conducting asset-based Energy Performance Certificate EPC the data is collected and used for a digital twin which is used for model predictive control minimizing cost/CO2 intensity.
The building owner procures an EPC with export of enhanced XML to be used in a digital twin in the building energy management system.
The EPC issuer uploads the data to the Building Energy Management System BEMS. The BEMS producer foresees interfaces to import building data as enhanced XML ad read weather forecasts
